Job Summary:

Responsible for developing innovative and cost effective solutions which focus on driving efficiencies, improving guest experience, increasing employee productivity and growing revenues.

Essential Job Functions including the following but other duties may be assigned:
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement and an IT Effectiveness culture, at market level,
  • Leverage corporate resources, standards, processes & applications
  • Focus on improving overall system performance and uptime, drive continuous improvement and operational stability of our core gaming and revenue systems
  • Develop business case for initiatives following the established process and rigor e.g. create NPV/IRR analysis.
  • Drive vendor management and seek opportunities for cost reduction and improved IT Services Delivery at property.
  • Drives creation and expansion of Market Engineer function ensuring development of skill base to support future technology directions and innovations
  • Partners with the Initiatives & Operations team for project delivery to the market
  • Drives documentation of core Engineering Capabilities facilitating understanding, stability and improved TTR
  • Ensure 100% accomplishment of root cause analysis, corrective action for P1 incidents
  • Ensures IT platforms are configured and managed in accordance with HETMICS
  • Manage the monitoring and performance of all market based Computer Systems, executing appropriate escalation and corrective actions for all hardware and software problems in accordance with pre-defined service level agreements. Ensures all platform configurations comply with HET MICS through definition of standards and execution of review processes
  • Drive the proper execution of Property IT operations, support, and change management processes and procedures, across market within area of responsibility.
  • Leads the development of IT Plans, technology strategies, disaster recovery and fiscal budgetary plans, as they relate to the market(s) within area of responsibility.
  • Build strong partnerships & relationships with Senior Leadership, Managers, Supervisors and vendors - Leadership, Transparency and Collaboration are Key Success Factors
  • Drive / Manage Enterprise Standards compliance and management
  • Remain engaged with property, corporate and market events as well as external environmental forces, in order to assist with the successful deployment and strategy of Enterprise IT Services
  • Drives focused system stability efforts for core gaming and revenue generating systems by improving TTR during P1 incidents and accomplishing root cause analysis / corrective action to prevent in the future.
  • In conjunction with the Director, Market Technology Initiatives & will define, produce and report on the operational performance of the Engineering team against stated stability objectives
  • Defines and manages Engineering function against regional financial objectives. Participates in Budget Review Strategy Sessions via monthly budget reviews, as well as capital and operating plan reviews
  • Staff Development - Develop and cultivate a highly-engaged talent pool of Market Technology Managers and Market Engineers.
  • Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
  • Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
  • Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.

Qualifications:

Requires 7-10 years of multi-disciplined IT work experience in delivering value technology-based solutions, methodologies and services to business units. Extensive experience in business process improvement, technology management and operational support, planning and budgeting analysis experience required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple projects, people and processes in a very high-powered, high-availability environment.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
