HNI Corporation, an industry leader in workplace furnishings and building products, is in search of a Solution Delivery Manager - (Sales and Operations & Execution) and Planning, Scheduling and Procurement to join our team! This is a hybrid-position that will require regular onsite presence at our headquarters in Muscatine, IA. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are available for qualified candidates.

Our Solution Delivery Manager - (Sales and Operations & Execution) and Planning Scheduling and Procurement will provide solutions and options that leverage our platforms and applications and work with business partners to migrate our on-prem Oracle EBS applications to Oracle Cloud Applications, while continuing to support business operations.

In this role, you will develop, promote, and monitor adherence to integration standards and will design solutions to meet our operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, and flexibility. You will leverage your deep understanding of integration technologies and practices as well as your business acumen to develop overarching system designs. You also will review the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of designs and provide oversight for applications within your team. This involves the uniformity of application implementations, proper performance of those applications, and forward-looking planning and development within the enterprise.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Partner with the business:

  • Manages and represents the Sales, Operations and Execution (SOE) and Planning, Scheduling and Procurement (PSP)areas of IT to HNI’s business.
  • Analyze business needs and define detailed requirements based on desired outcomes and develop new solutions (including new processes and policy changes, new system capabilities and/or configurations needed), with the business community, and recommend potential alternatives.
  • Synthesize high-level concepts surrounding new work requests into a scope document and sets of business needs.
  • Apply experience in Project management and work within the guidelines of a project management framework and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
  • Ensures that the Solution Design aligns with our Enterprise Architecture standards and technical application management standards, and act as the shepherd to gain approval through our project process – even if the solution deviates from our standards.
  • Create and communicate solution overviews and alternatives to technical and business leaders to foster understanding of solution direction and to gain consensus support of the recommended solution approach.
  • Partner with the business to build and follow a 3–5-year roadmap.
  • Collaborate to develop and present business cases for IT investment strategy needed to support application architecture road map.
  • Educate stakeholders of application architecture risks to influence change that supports business and IT strategies.

Design and Implement Solutions:

  • Apply subject matter functional experience in many of the following areas: Order management in regard to Configure to Order (CTO) and Build to Stock (BTS) Fulfillment, Order Promising, Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning and Scheduling, Capacity Mgt., Work Order creation, Forecasting, Material Planning and Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Inventory Planning, Inventory Mgt., Work-in-Process, Discrete Manufacturing, Mobile Supply Chain Mgt., Warehouse Mgt., Shipping, Transportation.
  • Apply subject matter functional experience in Oracle VCP/EBS R12 and Oracle ERP / Supply Chain Cloud, or another Advanced Planning and Scheduling suite.
  • Develop solutions/approaches (including new process and policy changes) and new system capabilities and/or configurations, partnering with the business community and recommending potential alternatives.
  • Create and review functional and technical specifications and validate design/development specifications with technical development teams.
  • Ensure holistic solution design, making sure that cross-functional considerations are incorporated into the functional and technical design specifications, focusing on strategic business capabilities and requirements.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with application strategies and identify opportunities, challenges, and migration road map to support strategies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholder technical teams to ensure the delivery of a holistic solution design.
  • Take the initiative to learn and develop new skills and stay current on new and emerging technologies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

  • 8+ years minimum experience in Oracle EBS and Oracle ERP Cloud with the majority of recent experience in Oracle Fusion (Cloud) applications.
  • Have experience implementing or supporting several of the following Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud modules: General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Asset Management, Payments & Collections, Cash and Expense Management, Project Portfolio Management
  • 8+ years functional experience in many of the following areas: Order management regarding CTO and BTS Fulfillment, Order Promising, Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning and Scheduling, Capacity Mgt., Work Order creation, Forecasting, Material Planning and MRP, Inventory Planning, Inventory Mgt., Work-in-Process, Discrete Manufacturing, Mobile Supply Chain Mgt., Warehouse Mgt., Shipping, Transportation.
  • Recent experience in a lead role in full ERP Cloud implementations.
  • MUST have excellent documentation, presentation, customer handling, problem solving, solution design skills and experience
  • Must have the ability to articulate technical concepts in business terms and present to senior management

  • Strong Oracle ERP (Cloud or On Premise) implementation project experience in a Senior Functional role
  • Strong familiarity and experience with Cloud implementation approach and methodology
  • Experience deploying Oracle ERP Cloud and/or on-premise ERP applications
  • Excellent requirement gathering and documentation skills.
  • Strong configuration experience of Oracle ERP Cloud or one / many on premise applications support business requirements
  • Exceptional communication skills, including: written, verbal & presentation

WHAT IT HELPS TO HAVE:

  • Knowledge of REST APIs and web services, JSON, and XML structures.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive business and/or systems analysis skills that support applications development.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines.
