About our team:
The Aftermarket Systems team are the Business Analysts for applications that enable the Raymond Aftermarket Parts business. These custom-built systems are integrated with other key business systems to display a catalog of parts and service information for Raymond products. We are responsible for troubleshooting day-to-day user issues leveraging log data and SQL queries against the back-end database. We are also responsible for managing frequent enhancement projects, from requirements gathering and user stories to collaborating with the developer teams on design, development, workflow and GUI approval, testing, deployment, user communications and user training.
About the position:
Raymond's Aftermarket Systems team is looking for a project specialist who can help our team grow our capabilities in "best practices" software testing while also sharing the responsibility for application support. The ideal candidate has performed software testing in a methodical, documented way and can help develop test plans and documentation for Raymond Aftermarket Systems' applications, then use those test plans to test those applications. They're also a good problem-solver who can learn our custom applications and become adept at identifying the root cause of reported issues, managing the enhancement of our systems, and maintaining our team's record of exemplary service and support to our users and business stakeholders.
Job duties:
- Software Troubleshooting - identifies root cause of a reported error or problem using available tools including log files, SQL database queries; browser Developer Console; etc.
- Analyzes strategic and general business needs to develop project requirements and specifications.
- Generates and reviews highly complex reports and data using SQL queries, Excel, and PowerBI. Provides analysis, summaries, and resulting action plans, and/or uses the results to identify root cause of support issues.
- Exchanges information and resolves issues with senior-level staff, which may include executive staff inside and outside the Company, over a variety of project related issues. Works directly with internal and external users to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
- Provides advice and counsel with regard to technical and/or specialized knowledge to all levels of employees.
- Analyzes current practices and makes/recommends appropriate changes.
- Maintains records with appropriate supporting material. Updates records as necessary. Creates and/or expands knowledge base for team applications.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Regular attendance in the workplace is required for interaction with others and to support teamwork.
About you:
- Four or more years of project management and/or business analyst experience is required.
- Strong "best practices" software testing experience - able to develop and execute test plans that are grounded in a defined SDLC testing methodology.
- Software Troubleshooting - identify root cause of a reported error or problem using available tools including log files, SQL database queries; browser Developer Console; etc.
- Basic SQL query ability (T-SQL/MSSMS) - basic SELECT/FROM/WHERE statements with occasional JOINs.
- Good written and verbal communications - able to communicate clearly and professionally with Raymond staff, vendors, dealer personnel, and end-customers. Emails and Teams audio/video calls are frequent.
- Ability to have multiple projects, activities, or tasks underway at any time and keep them all moving forward.
It would be great if you had:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel - lookup tables, pivot tables, etc.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure - Azure Active Directory; PowerApps.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI report creation (with SQL database as data source).
- Basic Project Management familiarity - ability to generate an organized set of project tasks; project dates and deadlines; and monitor/report on progress.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerShell.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - Salaries ranging from $64,000 - $82,000 per year
Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
