We receive hundreds of gigabytes of transportation data daily making our petabytes of archived data likely the largest collection of traffic data in the world. Our clients use our software to analyze that data to generate valuable insights. Our work saves taxpayer money, improves the environment, and saves lives!
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Manually test web application user interfaces and application programming interfaces, find bugs, report them, and track resolution.
- Develop and create test plans based on functional requirements and user interface specifications.
- Implement automated web application tests using Cypress
- Implement automation of REST APIs test cases using Postman, RestAssured, and Karate.
- Prepare and publish test results and reports using Jira and Confluence.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team including software developers, database administrators, user interface designers, server administrators, and managers to resolve issues.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience:
- 1+ years experience with manually testing web applications.
- 1+ years experience with automation using object-oriented programming (OOP) languages.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to write test plans providing complete requirements coverage.
- Knowledge of QA concepts including regression, sanity tests, load/stress tests, and potential software vulnerabilities including code injection and buffer overflow
- Knowledge of database concepts and co.de including SQL and Postgres.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and take full ownership of assigned tasks.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile development life-cycle concepts.
- Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools such as Cyprus, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG.
- Familiarity with common software security vulnerabilities including code injection and buffer overflow.
- Familiarity with version control software including Git.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
