IT Application Engineer designs application solutions based on detailed application requirements and defined data structures and data sources to satisfy the application solution.
Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
- IT Application Engineer also works closely with architects, developers, customer representatives, project managers, etc. to ensure that application solutions meet customer requirements.
- Typically spends majority of time providing direction across large teams at all levels but capable of solid individual performance, when required.
- Shares knowledge, coaches, and mentors' others in area of expertise
- Ability to perform functions at all levels of a process.
- Will serve as technical lead in area of expertise.
- Will have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of others.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills. Comfortable interfacing with director level management for technical briefings, status reports, etc.
Qualification:
- Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline with at least 5+ years of recent experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting computing applications in a large-scale, midrange, and distributed environment as a Software Engineer.
- Excellent experience working with SQL, SQL Server, Oracle , Cloud Services, PCF, Springboot
- Possesses an expert level knowledge of the tools and processes required by the role.
- 5+ years Java Development w/ Spring or C# Development
- 3+ years Java or C# development experience
- Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new technologies.
- Familiarity with creating benchmark tests, designing for scalability and performance and designing/integrating large-scale systems.
- Familiarity with building cloud native applications, knowledge on cloud providers and services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 121,900 - 203,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
