MOTER Technologies, Inc. is developing new technologies called MOTER, Mobility on The Edge in Real-time, unlocking the world of connected car data to power new products and services for the automotive, mobility and insurance ecosystems. Our advanced data science and software platform will create new insights from vehicle data to power the next generation of risk analytics and insurance solutions. The technology and business platform allow automakers to finally realize their connected car data monetization goals and improve their ROI in this growing space.
Job Overview:
This role reports to Software Engineering Manager and is responsible for guiding the use of data to build business and customer-facing products for Aioi USA and MOTER Technologies. Responsibilities include design and implementation of Linux based embedded software systems. The candidate will work closely with other teams on the development of software modules that interface with multiple sensors to collect, analyze and push data to the cloud infrastructure. The role requires strong teamwork, presentation, and coding skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirement specification and produce software design
- Validate Linux-based software modules for sensor data collection
- Implement custom message protocols
- Support rapid proto typing to evaluate innovative ideas
- Develop C++ based deep learning model inference for sensor data analysis
- Support Linux based edge computing device setup and configuration
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 1+ years of industry experience in Linux software development
- 1+ years of industry experience in working with embedded systems
- 1+ years of experience in Python, C/C++
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in object-oriented design, data structures, Linux operating systems
- Experience in embedded software development and debugging on ARM based platforms
- Ability to quickly learn and incorporate modern technologies
- Energetic and able to work in a startup environment
- Excellent team player
- Effective communication and presentation skills
Office Location:
- Torrance, CA
- Hybrid (2 days in the office)
Compensation:
- For California based hires:
Estimated annual salary range from $110,000 to $130,000
