Northrop Grumman's Chief Information Office is seeking a Software Development Analyst with Electrical CAD design and administration experience.

This position may be located at any of the following Northrop Grumman sites: Palmdale, CA, Redondo Beach CA, Rancho Bernardo CA, Roy Utah or Melbourne FL.

There is no option for full time telecommuting in this role.

Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Administration of Electrical CAD Management Systems - utilizing HarnesSys and/or Siemens Capital.
  • End-user technical support of Electrical CAD software in development and production environments.
  • Performing root cause analysis and debugging problems within the Electrical CAD environment, and working with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitoring, addressing, and resolving production Electrical CAD environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc., collaboratively with other support teams.
  • Documenting all aspects of system support so that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting Electrical CAD instances.
  • Supporting business readiness and change management activities prior to go-live and in production.


Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
  • BS Degree and 2+ years Electrical CAD support experience with HarnesSys, Siemens Capital, or other 3D Electrical CAD applications with similar functions and capabilities (AA Degree with 7 years of experience in lieu of degree)
  • Proven track record supporting major Electrical CAD software in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with Electrical CAD support and incident resolution
  • US Citizenship is required for this role as well as an active or current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance; maintaining clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
  • Current Security+CE certified is required


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS Cloud
  • Familiarity with the functions, processes, and capabilities in native Electrical CAD applications and Data Management.
  • Experience supporting Electrical CAD in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Fluency in at least one computer programming language.
  • Ability to apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end-users.


Salary Range: $73,400.00 - $110,000.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
