About the role:
The Software Developer I will develop, create, and maintain internal business tools and applications using Javascript, as well as other tools and frameworks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing frontend technical expertise to customers and other team members.
- Creating sustainable, well documented, and bug free code that interacts with the backend.
- Communicating and interacting with REST APIs (This role would be requesting & communicating almost exclusively through API endpoints).
- Providing support for production systems, respond to emergencies in a timely manner, and provide management with status as appropriate.
- Developing intuitive user interfaces/experiences (UI/UX), with cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards (e.g. Bootstrap).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of related IT work experience.
- Demonstrated Javascript (VueJS) /HTML5/CSS ) skills.
- Experience with Git (e.g. Gitlab), Pivotal Tracker, Jira, Slack, Kubernetes.
- Experience developing intuitive user interfaces/experiences (UI/UX).
Preferred Qualifications:
- MVP (minimal viable product) knowledge.
- Experience as a full-stack developer and/or strong familiarity with full-stack development.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum) and tools (e.g. Kanban boards).
- Possess a client-oriented work ethic.
- A well-developed aptitude to troubleshoot and diagnose complex system issues.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment that requires proactively defining and managing various tasks and priorities.
- Team-oriented with strong and effective communication skills.
