Shop Operations Supervisor

5am - 130pm Monday - Friday

Coordination of Shop Processes

•         Maintain production schedule to meet customer expectations

•         Ensures required part quality for customer

•         Reinforces safety expectations

•         Assists with daily quality inspection of product

•         Trains and audits personnel on processes for the area

•         Assists with modifying department layouts to promote improvements

•         Audit shop paperwork for accuracy

•         Assists with customer part returns and rework of product

•         Ensures standard work is being followed

•         Instrumental in maintaining metrics

•         Maintains equipment/ coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs

 Be the hub of communication.

•         Communicates with shop employees to maintain production schedule

•         Assist with creating documented standards and work instructions for processes in the area

•         Maintains constant communication with team throughout the day

•         Identifies and addresses up and down stream quality issues

•         Communicate needs to your supplier

•         Understand the needs of your customer

Continuous Improvement

•         Reinforces standards to produce product to standard

•         Understands the status of rework and how it affected the production numbers

•         Shows rework to each team member, identify why it happened and how to prevent it

•         Trains associates how to properly follow work instructions

•         Expedites rework thru the process

•         Ability to effectively communicate within the team and with other teams

•         Understands the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

required for area

•        Ability to safely and effectively operate various tools and equipment required for area

•         Ability to effectively train and instruct employees

•         Meets Yield Requirements

•         Meets Output Requirements
