Shipping/Receiving Logistics Support Specialist

Shift/Hours:  Monday- Friday, 8-5 with possible OT, available to work weekends and on-call if needed.

Pay Rate: $17- $20/hr DOE

Location: South Houston, TX

Experience: 5+ Years

Shipping/Receiving Logistics Support Specialist Responsibilities:

• Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandise or material
• Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material
• Arrange appropriate transportation of products
• Assist customers with shipping inquiries
• Move materials throughout the warehouse
• Create shipments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Shipping/Receiving Logistics Support Specialist Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• UPS & FedEx software experience
• Understanding of shipping service terms (next-day air, ground, expedited, etc.)
• Forklift experience
• Ability to make waybills, labels, and bills of ladings (shipping documentation)
• Able to schedule shipments with couriers (UPS FREIGHT, FEDEX, SAIA, etc.,)
• Ability to talk to freight couriers and customers in person or via phone
• Have basic PC skills
• Basic math skills
