Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a company based in Kennesaw, GA. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for receiving, unloading, and storing materials, prepare outgoing shipments, record data in a fast-paced, manufacturing setting.

Pay Rate
$15.00 per hour, $0.75 shift differential. Saturday overtime may be required.

Schedule and Hours
Monday thru Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm

Will train for 5 weeks on 1st shift 6:45am to 3:15pm.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

• Examine shipment contents and compare with documentation to verify accuracy.
• Record shipment data for reporting, accounting, or record keeping purposes.
• Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Deliver or route materials to departments using forklift, hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
• Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
• Contact Carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery methods.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three plus years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is desired.
• Forklift experience is desired.
• Strong computer skills is required.
• Drug screening, background check and lifting assessments are required.
