POSITION: Forklift Operator/Shipping & Receiving
TYPE: TTH / E Verify/ Background check (cannot be placed until results are back) 9-panel drug test.
HOURS: Monday thru Friday: 8am to 5pm
PAY: $20.00
Purpose of Position/Summary:
The WAREHOUSE employee is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing outgoing and incoming shipments and managing inventory while maintaining safety and cleanliness guidelines.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Maintain security, safety and quality control standards
• Uphold a clean work environment
• Accurately pick and pack customer orders, including proper labeling
• Communicate with carriers for outgoing and incoming shipments
• Load and unload freight efficiently and process documentation
• Verify receipts against shipping documents and report as required
• Properly put away incoming stock
• Manage inventory and control audits
• Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• 1 year relevant work experience
• Forklift and reach truck experience
• Ability to add, subtract and match
• Basic computer skills
• Shipping/Receiving Experience
• UPS Fedex
• Excel
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This position does not have any subordinate associates reporting to it.
Difficulty of Work:
This position requires the ability to prioritize workloads, operate machinery, add, subtract and verify matching data according to company rules and procedures.
Responsibility:
Independent initiative is required to efficiently complete daily tasks, verify completed work and report any discrepancies to assigned procedures. Some performance metrics will be monitored.
Personal Work Relationships:
In addition to following company policy, professional and courteous interaction with other WAREHOUSE employees, office personnel and outside company representatives should be expected.
Physical Effort:
• Ability to stand / walk for extended periods
• Regularly lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds
• Operate forklifts / reach trucks
Working Conditions:
This position is located in a warehouse environment.
