We are looking for a shift supervisor for our architectural millwork manufacturing shop. The ideal candidate would have previous experience supervising a team and wood products manufacturing experience. However, for the right candidate, we will train for this position. The person will supervise a small team of about 7-10 employees. Those employees will be machine operators and entry-level helpers at various machine centers. This person will work with other shift supervisors to manage workflow and fulfill orders in a fast-paced environment.
We understand that we might not find the ideal candidate. We are looking for people that are the right fit for our team first, and that has the skill set we want second.
Compensation:$26 - $30 hourly DOE
Responsibilities:- Promote safety, quality and productivity, in that order, to team members
- Supervise a team of 7-10 employees
- Provide training for new employees
- Ensure that production reporting and work orders are completed accurately and timely
- Work as a team with other supervisors and other teams to complete projects on time
- Work with other team members to improve processes and develop new products
- Use continuous improvement tools to grow the business
- Previous demonstrated successful employee supervision experience preferred
- Wood products manufacturing experience, especially as it relates to high end architectural projects, preferred
- Woodworking experience preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience a plus
- Effective communication skills required
- Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products
