Senior Ui Ux Designer

We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer for a 6 month +, Hybrid, W2 contract.

Location: Chicago, IL (Must be on-site 3 days a week)

Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.  No 3rd party C2Cs please.

A product (customer analytics solution) utilized by thousands to access data and reporting insights is being replaced. The on-premise technologies will be deprecated and replaced with this system that is being developed in-house. Cloud migration will allow for greater degrees of interoperability. The new product will simplify and streamline reporting and reimagine and enhance key capabilities (like exports and custom attributes). This new product will deliver new capabilities for customers, create a better user experience, and maximize data reuse, composability, and discoverability.

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the user experience for this new product.  You will lead the design process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric interfaces that align with our brand and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

●      User Research: Conduct user research, gather insights, and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions. Develop user personas, user stories, and conduct usability testing to ensure optimal user experiences.

●      Interface Design: Design intuitive user interfaces for various digital platforms (web, mobile, etc.) using tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar software. Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that translate user needs into functional designs.

●      Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, advocate for user needs, and ensure seamless integration of design solutions.

●      Design Systems & Guidelines: Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability across products. Continuously improve design processes and workflows.

●      Visual Design: Create visually appealing graphics, icons, and other visual elements while adhering to brand guidelines. Ensure designs are aesthetically pleasing and align with current design trends and industry standards.

●      Accessibility & Usability: Champion accessibility and usability standards, ensuring designs are inclusive and user-friendly for individuals with diverse needs.

●      Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in UI/UX design. Implement new techniques and technologies to enhance design processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

●      7 + years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects.

●      Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, etc.

●      Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, user research methodologies, and usability testing.

●      Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

●      Experience in creating design systems and familiarity with front-end development technologies is a plus.

●      Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and solving complex design challenges.
