Title: Senior Technology Officer

Job Summary:
The Senior Technology Officer (STO) is responsible for the direction and continuous improvement of the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, security program, data strategy, regulatory compliance, corporate IT governance, help desk activities, IT budgets, and roadmap. The STO will provide leadership and oversight within the internal team, as well as support the overall IT strategy for the Bank. This position will oversee the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the Bank’s information systems and processes including computer, communication, and office systems. This position will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of relevant industry software and data sets as part of the technology roadmap, and wherever possible, creating efficiency via automation. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate to create a strategic Information Technology vision and roadmap for the organization that supports organizational goals.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish business and system requirements for projects and proactively advise executives on information technology trends, benefits, and risks.
- Act as the point of contact with business partners and stakeholders, ensuring full engagement and communication, resolution of general issues, and alignment of business and IT strategy for integration planning.
- Build vendor partnerships and oversee multiple vendor relationships to ensure the best performance and financial return.
- Leverage and maintain a deep knowledge of a broad range of vendor technology solutions and recommend the most appropriate technologies to support the business.
- Develop comprehensive approaches to cybersecurity and risk management.
- Drive culture by continually reinforcing the Bank’s customer-centric values in all aspects of IT operations and provisioning.
- Bring innovation and leading-edge technology solutions that create business and enhanced value.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback leading to improved performance and accountability.
- Create and promote an environment that fosters learning and innovation.
- Actively coach and mentor IT personnel to develop effective IT leaders and teams to reach their potential and deliver business results.
- Analyze the performance of Help Desk activities and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance the quality of service and prevent future problems.

- Identify and report risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the Bank.

- Skilled communicating long-term vision and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Possess a strong financial acumen and ability to apply rigor in financial management and business value analysis to IT expense and capital allocations.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to establish strong relationships within all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Passion for people development, innovation, process improvement, and technology.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or Business Administration with relevant IT work experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of managing IT departments for organizations with geographically dispersed workforce.
