Job Details:
As a Senior Superintendent for our client, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the successful completion of our high-profile projects. This role is perfect for a dynamic individual who is passionate about construction and has a keen interest in restoration and waterproofing. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, including planning, coordination, and supervision of all technical and logistical aspects. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary package and excellent opportunities for career progression.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure all projects are executed accurately.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
4. Ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards and building regulations.
5. Develop and implement project work plans and schedules, identifying any potential risks or issues and proposing solutions.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety standards.
7. Liaise with clients, architects, and other construction professionals, providing regular updates on project status.
8. Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
9. Oversee the troubleshooting and resolution of any on-site problems, including conflicts between workers or delays in supplies.
10. Ensure all construction projects are completed in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Senior Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on restoration and waterproofing.
2. High School diploma or equivalent required & Two-year college degree in Construction Management/ Trades or a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
3. OSHA 30 Certification Preferred
4. This individual must have experience in some or all scopes including but not limited to: Spall Repair, Brick & Block Masonry Restoration, Liquid & Membrane Waterproofing, Deck Coating, Through Wall Flashing as well as Caulking and Window Glazing.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
6. Proficient in using construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
7. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work.
9. Physical stamina and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
