This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the global munitions portfolio to ensure Operational Plan ( OPLAN) supportability, warfighter readiness, and joint force's ability to prosecute the National Defense Strategy.Qualifications:
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Expert knowledge and experience in Joint Logistics and Operations to accomplish assigned analyses and special projects.
- Utilizes Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other budgetary guidance to conduct studies associated with the planning and budgeting process to include contracting, logistics, configuration and data management, and their interrelationship with program, budget review and analysis.
- Serves as a technical expert in munitions and strategic planning in advising senior level DoD principles with expert assessments on munitions readiness in support of the CCMDs OPLANs.
- Utilizes analytic skills to independently manage, analyze, and provide defensible recommendations regarding multiple studies including identifying and analyzing munitions required but he DoD's analytic agenda.
- Manages all aspects of the High Interest Munitions Report program to include synthesis of multiple information management system for report developments, analysis, computations, munitions risk identification and distribution to all Services and CCMD munitions offices.
