Responsibilities:
-Prepare and review estimates with appropriate personnel and outside engineering firms, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that the full scope of a project is covered
-Review project bids and project plans for value engineering opportunities
-Manage multiple bids and perform liaison between Estimating team and management
-Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned Estimating projects
-Schedule pre-bid meetings as required to access risk and scope of work. Include other departments as required
-Coordinate bid inputs from all organizational departments; Purchasing, Engineering, and Production
-Review and recommend appropriate markup based on risk, market conditions, and backlog
-Monitor and organize job costing/job data and relay information to estimating team
-Provide Leadership for continuous improvement within the Bridge Department
-Enter and maintain bid information into CRM and assign to the responsible party
-Proactive and consistent follow-up on quotes with the customer
-Positively interact and collaborate with all other team members of the company including Estimators, Territory Sales Managers, Sales Engineers, Director of Bridge Sales, production planning, logistics, purchasing, and accounting
Willing to work flexible hours when necessary

Qualifications:
-Post-secondary degree in Business and/or equivalent work experience in Estimating
-Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a very strong emphasis in Excel
-Ability to deliver exceptional internal and external customer service
-Exceptional communication skills
-Very strong ability to accurately read and understand detailed plans and specifications
-Detail orientated
-Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
-Willingness to strive to get ahead to complete multiple projects
-Ability to recover from, or adjust to, misfortune or setbacks
-Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers
-Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace
-Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
