Senior Software Engineer - Microservices

Position Overview

The Senior software engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex web applications in distributed systems. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for building applications in an agile environment, focusing on API development. You will be working on a fast-paced environment with dynamic teams to provide best in class solutions to our customers and business.

Key Accountabilities:

• Build internal and external facing APIs that are high performing and scalable.
• Improve the overall quality, performance, and stability of the APIs.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, devops and other dev teams to build the optimal API solution.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS (or equivalent experience) and five years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience in microservice REST API development and related frameworks
• Extensive experience in developing/hosting microservices on Docker/Kubernetes (EKS) platform
• Strong familiarity with data caching (Redis), JAVA with Spring Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, IDE (eclipse)
• Understanding of database concepts and working knowledge of Maria DB
• Require to have comprehensive understanding of full development lifecycle and is actively involved in all phases
• Familiarity using GIT (Version Control) and CI/CD Pipeline.
• Understanding Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Perform design, coding, testing, bug fixing, implement and support complex business applications
• Understanding technical specifications of the interfaces
• Document knowledge articles/ root cause analysis of critical issues
• Deploy the applications in Test and Production environments
• Experience in leading the team
• Experience in defining the solid Exception, Error and logging template

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with full stack development, preferably working on React based frameworks.

• Experience building UI designs.

• Experience working with Magento ecommerce, SAAS based CMS/PIM solutions.
