Position Summary
This position is a lead role in the management of our ServiceNow release management and Dev Ops. The individual in this role will lead the roadmap, governance, communication, design, execution, and maintenance of our ServiceNow release management initiatives. Liaising with technology teams, process owners and counterparts to inform and partner on our enterprise strategy and manage application sustainment, enhancement, and/or new development.
Reporting to the Lead IT Director, ServiceNow Platform Service Management, this position is critical in supporting the development and implementation of the overall ServiceNow release strategy while operational objectives and strategic business initiatives are met. This role will also have indirect management of technical staff. Including but not limited to being the first point of escalation, prioritizing, and managing assignments from the backlog.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical governance, delivery, communication, maintenance, and prioritization of enhancements, and other responsibilities for ServiceNow release management & Dev Ops.

  • Partner with the technology, process, and business stakeholders to define, analyze, and document requirements for ServiceNow release management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a governance strategy to achieve consistent and efficient release process for stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into ServiceNow configurations.

  • Work directly with the ServiceNow development team to select the most effective solution for defined requirements.

  • Design and configure ServiceNow release managment modules to collect, analyze, and visualize data to drive data-based decision-making

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics based on business requirements and configure ServiceNow

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information from different modules and sources to provide comprehensive insights.

  • Conduct analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

  • Provide recommendations for process optimization and performance improvement based on the analysis findings.

  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and enhancements related to performance analytics, recommending, and implementing improvements to optimize performance measurement and reporting.

  • Lead a group of developers to support the sustainment of the product along with managing releases and regular business requests utilizing SAFe Agile Methodology.


Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of managing ServiceNow release management and configuration of ServiceNow platform.

  • 5+ years of release engineer type roles which involves hands on experience on ServiceNow release management and Dev Ops

  • Strong knowledge of release management concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into meaningful performance metrics.

  • Customer obsessed. Experience influencing and consulting while solving business processes and / or technical problems to meet our customers where they are.

  • Program/Project Management or Scrum Master experience with strong skillset in communications, tracking, reporting, risk management, and negotiation skills .

  • Strong problem management skills and ITIL awareness, ability to deliver complex business requirements technically

  • Infrastructure configuration experience across on-premises datacenters, cloud, network, and IT security tools

  • Experience leading, engaging, and coaching new developers.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic delivery environment with versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously.


Nice to haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, ITAM (HAM & SAM), ITOM &vCMDB.

  • Experience with Dev Ops or other related tools and technologies.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$120,750.00 - $240,000.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
