The Team You'll Join
You will be joining the Security Operations team and reporting to the Director of Security and Compliance. As the first Security Analyst-Engineer at Xevant, you will have the opportunity to leave your mark as you take ownership of our security for a tech stack that we are completely changing over right now. As opposed to being siloed in your scope of influence, you will have the opportunity to influence across the entire company.
The Impact You'll Make
- Build - Guide our strategy as you create and build Xevant's technical security capabilities.
- Advise - Step into an advisory role as you maintain and teach technical security capabilities across the company.
- Report - You will communicate to stakeholders across the company regarding vulnerabilities as you track and work the results of your findings.
- Monitor - Detect and remediate security issues as you monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unauthorized activity.
- BS or BA in information systems, computer science or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in information security domain
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- Strong technical understanding of Active Directory, anti-virus and malware software, patch management, encryption, operating systems, databases, storage devices, networking and protocols, routers, firewalls, SSO, and MFA
- Proficient with a broad array of security tools (Network security & monitoring, EDR, XDR, email security, phishing simulation, encryption, etc.)
