Additional responsibilities may include:
- Organize, coordinate, implement and control assigned projects in a high-quality, efficient, and timely manner.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis on projects to ensure outcomes support business unit and company goals.
- Develop processes and procedures for existing book of business that will support future institutional sales
- Suggest and implement new policies, procedures, workflow approaches and system enhancements
- Consult with other departments, providing technical assistance involving research, solving questions and problems, and presenting results to the appropriate audience.
- Prepare and present reports to management summarizing meetings, recommendations, decisions, etc.
- Responsible for the analysis, review and recommendations for improvement of department metrics.
A qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Math, Actuarial Science, Statistics or other analytical major
- 6+ years of experience working in defined benefit plans leading to an ability to interpret complex defined benefit provisions
- 5+ years using defined benefit systems and a good understanding of all regulatory items impacting participant benefits to ensure administrative system calculations are correct
- Strong communication, interpersonal, decision making, analytical, mathematical and organization skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage projects with a passion for solving problems and sharing solutions
- Must be able manage a large workload and prioritize accordingly with willingness and flexibility to work overtime, as needed
- High integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of client information.
Location & Travel: This position can be 100% remote however, if you are located in the Des Moines IA area you'll have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement.
