The Radiation TechTeam Senior Project Manager leads project management and technical consulting support for microbial reduction, materials testing, and gamma, electron beam, and X-ray radiation technology services to ensure Customer requirements are met. The Senior Project Manager also functions as an internal liasison and coordinator for novel and complex turnkey laboratory and radiation projects, ensuring customized reports are efficiently delivered to Customers
- Meets Customer requirements by managing and delivering technical support for dose gamma, E-beam, and X-ray radiation validation, experimentation, product evaluation and general technical inquiries for new and continuing Customers through direct Customer contact.
- Promotes and administers the turnkey Customer Validation Programs; providing project support for development of sterilization applications.
- Manages and delivers technical support for reference dose mapping for new and existing Customer product processed at various gamma, electron beam, and X-ray radiation processing locations.
- Applies strategies and tactics necessary to meet overall organizational objectives relative to dosimetry practices.
- Proven ability to lead non-traditional, complex projects independently (ex. large numbers of product families in a validation, adoptions, unusual products with special needs, bracketed mapping studies) in multiple modalities (i.e. gamma, electron beam, and X-ray).
- Functions as liaison between Sales, QS/RC, Marketing, Laboratory, and Operations to coordinate the appropriate projects, facilitate sample handling, and resolve issues to ensure Customer requirements for new applications as well as current application reviews and inquiries are satisfied.
7. Ensures "best practices" and leading-edge technical knowledge in microbial reduction, materials testing, and gamma, electron beam, and X-ray radiation technology are maintained for the TechTeam, Operations, and Sales/Marketing by leading development of TechTips and Customer focused technical presentations and meetings.
8. Engages in both formal and informal networking, continuous research utilizing all available resources, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to develop and disseminate relevant information to affected individuals.
9. Maintains professional skills, knowledge and abilities by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Represents STERIS to Customers and industry by attending/presenting at industry meetings/conferences.
10. Ability to train and mentor new hires and Project Managers in all key aspects of RTT services including reference mapping, dose audits, microbiology, validations, gamma, electron beam, and X-ray irradiation processes. Customer technical discussions.
11.Lead problem solving of Customer issues through appropriate application of industry Standards, data analysis, and/or process review.
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience in radiation operations, engineering, and/or cycle development medical device or pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated project management.
- A minimum of five (5) years experience with FDA and/or ISO in a strong Customer focus environment.
