Job Details

As the Senior Project Accountant you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our Real Estate development projects. Your role will include project accounting, financial reporting, and working closely with project managers to ensure the fiscal health of each Real Estate venture.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Accounting:

• Oversee the financial aspects of multiple Real Estate development projects from inception to completion.
• Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cash flow to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Prepare project cost reports, analyzing variances and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Review project contracts, change orders, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports related to project performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with the finance team to consolidate project financial data into the REIT's overall financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and REIT policies.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis of Real Estate development projects to assess performance and identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to support project managers and senior management decision-making.

Audit and Compliance:

• Coordinate and assist with external audits of project financials.
• Ensure compliance with REIT, GAAP, and tax regulations for all project-related activities.

Project Support:

• Collaborate with project managers to create and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Assist in the development of project financing strategies and capital planning.
