Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary focus will be to manage and drive adoption of the Revenue EDGE portfolio of Wi-Fi systems-gateways and mesh access points, residential and business solutions, indoor and outdoor units – all operating with a common containerized operating system that enables Calix SmartLife™ Managed Services.
Work with Product Management to coordinate and manage product roadmap releases - including target audience feature set, user experience, roadmap fit, and the marketing plan.
Plan the launch of new products and releases and develop/manage the cross-functional implementation of a marketing campaign.
Develop/refine product positioning that differentiates the Revenue EDGE portfolio of Premises systems within the industry.
Develop and evangelize go-to-market strategies for your product line-up.
Proven storyteller who can connect product benefits to desired outcomes for broadband service providers.
Become the product advocate and spokesperson for the portfolio, inclusive of internal education, external industry presentations, and developing clear product narratives.
Enhance foundational messaging that easily conveys the product value proposition and selling attributes.
Lead sales enablement initiatives that communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products.
Be the face and voice of your products within Calix, at tradeshows, and across the industry.
Author original digital and social media content including blogs, web, collateral, solution briefs, white papers, social media articles and more.
Create a cohesive, proven framework to identify, facilitate and compile customer success stories and meaningful performance metrics by establishing a feedback process encompassing regional sales and field customer success teams.
Develop compelling collateral, ranging from solution briefs and technical guides to white papers, blogs, and presentations.
Qualifications:
Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.
5-10 years relative marketing or product management experience with at least 4+ years’ marketing experience in a product marketing role (combined experience marketing to both broadband service providers [B2B] and directly to consumers [B2C] preferred).
Bachelor’s in business or marketing.
Deep knowledge of Wi-Fi networking technology and IEEE standards (802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6 & 6E) and 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7)), familiarity with Wi-Fi Alliance, as well as applications related to broadband access are a huge plus.
Very strong written communication skills, technical aptitude inclusive of technical marketing.
Thorough understanding of marketing and launch processes for hardware and software.
Exceptional public speaking/presentation skills.
Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, and cross-functional teams, as well as third party vendors/organizations.
Capable of building consensus and achievement of a shared vision, affecting change, thinking, and acting strategically and willing to take smart risks.
Experience working in a geographically distributed team with ability to foster strong working relationship throughout the organization.
Experience with a demonstrated track record of success in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
Willing to travel 25%.
