Privately owned Multifeeder Technology, Inc. DBA MFT Automation is a world leader in design and manufacture of friction feeders, labelers, automation systems, and robotics arms, using the latest design techniques with state-of-the-art components and materials to provide solutions for our customers. Due to robust company growth, we are looking for a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.
As a member of the product development and custom automation team, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will work with other staff members to reach project goals. A broad range of components and manufacturing processes will be utilized by this role, including sheet metal, machining, power transmission, servo motors, and sensors.
Responsibilities:
- Understand product requirements and develop solutions
- Use theoretical calculations and analytical methods to develop mechanical concepts
- Create or review part drawings, solid models and bills of materials
- Lead design reviews
- Prototype and test designs
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in custom automation and material handling, preferably in food and pharmaceutical industries
- Expert level proficiency with 3-D CAD, SolidWorks preferred
- Organized, detail-oriented self-starter
- Ability to excel in highly interactive team environment

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
