We are seeking a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Marketing Manager, Pursuits to support a broad range marketing activities throughout Cumming's NorCal Region. This position can be based in our San Francisco office or Los Angeles office, and will be responsible for capture planning, proposal development, the creation of customized collateral and statements of qualification (SOQ), interview coaching and preparation, information collection and organization, sub-consultant teaming support, and other tasks as assigned. The Marketing Manager, Pursuits will work in conjunction with business development, operations, and the centralized marketing team to provide pursuit-related marketing leadership around the development and implementation of processes and strategies focused on winning opportunities, beginning from opportunity identification through post submission phase.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the regional operations and business development teams on the development of annual business plans.
  • Participate in regular pipeline meetings and play an active role in the development of capture plans for major pursuits.
  • Work with operations and business development to manage the proposal process, develop proposal sections and scopes of work, and help ensure each proposal is developed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Help ensure proposals are tracked in the CRM system.
  • Prepare customized collateral and SOQs as required throughout the sales process for each opportunity.
  • Work with the operations and business development teams to prepare client presentations including presentation slide decks, rehearsal/coaching, and graphics/leave behinds.
  • Provide up-to-date information on regional projects and services and input data into the company's various databases.
  • Work with operations, business development, and the centralized marketing teams to ensure sub-consultant teaming opportunities are supported and tracked/recorded in the CRM database.
  • Demonstrate leadership, versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm, and creativity while working in an environment with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
  • QA/QC of all materials going into a proposal or SOQ.
  • Proofread and edit drafts of documents created by others for spelling, grammar, clarity of communication, and consistency in formatting.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all company services, and all materials and information required for proposal submissions.
  • Support the region with a series of culture-building activities involving corporate communications and internal campaigns and programs.
  • Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a high-energy individual with a can-do attitude who is detail-oriented and has the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent is required.
  • 6-8+ years' of relevant experience in the A/E/C industry and/or professional services is highly preferred.
  • Possess a proven ability to lead and motivate multi-functional teams.
  • Ability to work well with others, show flexibility, and exhibit good listening skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Required proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong eye for graphics and graphic and graphic design.
  • Anticipate work needs and pro-actively accomplish tasks with minimum direction.
  • Exercise creativity, independence, and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately in a compressed time frame.
