SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST SUPERVISOR - ANTICIPATED VACANCY

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Colonel of Capitol Police and is responsible for preparing, administering and managing the administrative and business operations for Capitol Police (CP) to include budget/fiscal and property management. These duties also include the supervision of personnel assigned to human resources, purchasing, the access identification and entry card system, and reception duties.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Coordinates and monitors Capitol Police budget, budgetary functions, risk assessments, and legislative processes;
- Oversees the daily operations of the Capitol Police ID Office;
- Supervises the purchasing and property functions of the division to include, but not limited to: preparing requisitions, direct orders, sole sources and bids for goods, services and supplies ensuring that all documentation is processed in a timely manner and consistent with established policies and procedures; and initiating, completing and reporting on all property transactions for Capitol Police to include modifications, transfers, deletions, additions, and surplus property;
- Provides guidance and supervision for the Human Resource functions of the division;
- Facilitates the planning, coordination and implementation of special projects for the division to include but not limited to, serving as the division coordinator for updating policies and procedures affecting Capitol Police;
- Serves as Fleet Manager for the division; and
- Serves as Accreditation Liaison for the division.
To be considered as a potential candidate, you must meet the minimum qualifications(s) listed below. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in analysis, planning, research, evaluation, or administrative work; or
- A high school diploma or its equivalent and eight years of experience in analysis, planning, research, evaluation, or administrative work; or
- Any combination of education or experience, as described above, for a total of eight years.
- A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Note: 30 semester hours, or equivalent, of coursework from an accredited college or university is equivalent to one year of experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability analyze and interpret data;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and proper completion of work assignments;
- Ability to develop and monitor policies and procedures;
- Ability to develop and organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, proposals and other written documents;

- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;
- Ability to supervise people;
- Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities;
- Ability to use computer software; including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Ability to utilize problem solving techniques and make decisions independently;
- Ability to write comprehensive reports based on analysis of issues;
- Ability to work cooperatively in a group;
- Ability to work independently;
- Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles, practices and procedures;
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection;
- Knowledge of the on-going programs and functions of the department;
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and management; and
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication.
BASE SALARY:
- $53,338.22
NOTES:
Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
