AddressWe are seeking a Senior Java Mainframe Tester to join our team supporting an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client. The Java Mainframe Tester will support Integration testing activities for Masterfile projects. Location of work is 100% remote from home.Create test cases, test data, perform manual testing and capture test artifacts in MS Word or excelCreate and run JCLs to execute Java Batch programs on MainframesCreate and run Java Test Cases in JVM on Mainframes and other IDEsDocument test defects and report defects to managementAttend IRS technical meetings to receive and deliver software testing statusApply systems analysis and testing techniques and procedures, to ensure software or system functional specifications are correctly identified Create test related work products (test cases/scripts, test datasets, test validation and verification results etc.) per testing standards and proceduresPrepare any required reporting documentation for the respective testing activitiesCoordinate with project manager, technical lead, and/or other Integrated Product Team (IPT) members to execute and document test activitiesAssist in managing testing requirements, creating, duplicating, and executing test cases/scripts, identifying and documenting testing problems, and reporting testing statusTest fixes for production software defects on an as-needed basisEnsure adherence to performance standards and best practices during testing - Integration Testing/System Acceptance Testing (SAT)/, FIT and Pre-MOCK/Mock (review)*Position is contingent on funding. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or additional four [4] years of related experience in lieu of degree) requiredAt least five (5) years of related experience Ability to understand, interpret and apply Java design patterns and frameworks for creating reusable code.Knowledge of Java 8 or above and IBM Mainframe environments (TSO, ISPF, File-Manager and Endevor)Understanding of ALC code, Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Business Rules implementationAbility to work well independently or in a team settingAbility to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and guidanceExcellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skillsPreferred qualifications: IRS project experience; experience working in a modified agile development environmentAdditional Requirements as per contract/client:Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI is a plus)Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years, and be Federal Tax compliant

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5-7 years of related experience.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of variable factors- Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.- Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.- Work requires considerable judgment and initiative.- Computer Professional Job Profile
