We're actively seeking a talented Senior IT Vendor Relations Specialist to join our Corporate IT Team in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site, hybrid, or 100% remote (depending on location).

As a Senior IT Vendor Relations Specialist, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by managing strategic IT service providers to drive value, consistency and performance. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 8 people in the Corporate division.

How you will make an impact:
  • Serve as a company-wide point of contact for strategic IT service provider
  • Track metrics at the provider level (ex. overall spend, perf metrics, resource counts, etc...)
  • Track and facilitate activities on provider level topics (onboarding/offboarding, security reviews, etc...)
  • Develop and manage vendor replacement plans as part of third party risk management
  • Ensure Pacific Life is receiving the expected value from provider agreements and perform benchmarking to validate services and fees on a periodic basis
  • Manage the establishment of contract renewals and new contracts when needed in collaboration with Enterprise Procurement
  • Be a knowledge source for arrangement owners, managers, supervisors
  • Train IT managers on service management topics and provide onging coaching
  • Drive vendor performance management process (reporting, validation, improvements)


The experience you will bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in a vendor relations or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (or related IT Field), or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Customer/Client focus
  • Ability to perform work with minimal management oversight
  • Self-starter who can work effectively and innovatively
  • A passion for learning and a desire to grow
  • Ability to apply new skills quickly while dealing with ambiguity

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$91,400.00 - $114,200.00 - $154,200.00
