The primary purpose of the Regional Information Technology (IT) Coordinator is to provide project and operational support for regional client plant locations. The Regional IT Coordinator will provide IT and software technology support in order to meet the needs of the North American client’s organization. Each Regional IT Coordinator is responsible for 3 to 5 plant locations in a geographic region, this one will be responsible for Cleburne, TX, Hillsboro, TX and Oklahoma City, OK.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Provide 24/7 support related to plant production, inventory, shipping and quality management software and hardware
- Train plant personnel on existing and new software/hardware.
- Provide printer, email, network, phone and computer repair and assistance
- Create customized data reporting and analysis for plant level systems and perform systems checks on legacy systems
- Provide monthly reports for non-automated processes and update and maintain network system and records
- Assist Engineering department with Data Historian, the development of warehouse management procedures, non-automated reporting systems reports and annual physical inventory
- Ensure Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems support
- Provide 24/7 support for client’s Shipping and Customer Operations software and hardware
- Configure new hardware and determine ways to apply existing hardware to additional business and system operations
- Manage location level technology evaluation in conjunction with client’s IT department
- Train personnel on existing and new software/hardware
- Act as liaison to IT Operations by responding to server network, computer, phone and backup systems requests
- Perform Systems checks on locations’ legacy systems
Work with employees and departments on a daily basis to solve various IT issues/tasks which include but are not limited to:
- Email, user account, computer, printer and network problems
- Create customized data reporting and analysis for location level systems
- Provide monthly reports on non-automated processes
- Respond to after-hours calls/problems
- Assist Engineering department with Data Historian and annual IT physical inventory
- Provide support in logic control (PLC) systems and application problems
- Travel to assigned plant locations and provide on-site application and/or hardware support as needed
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-years of related work experience OR a minimum of 6 years of IT desktop support experience ideally in a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated computer expertise
- Demonstrated understanding of single manufacturing facilities and multiple lines/markets
- Demonstrated expertise in Desktop and Windows Operating system
- Solid skills and knowledge related to Windows Server, LAN switching and cabling, process control systems and SAP
- Working knowledge of Access Programs and other Office Suite scripts
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Fundamental knowledge of inventory management concepts
- Moderate travel required (11 – 30 days per year)
- Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility (may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.).
