WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As the  Senior HCC Coder you will be responsible for all internal Medicare projects and programs involving department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, delivering products through the design process to completion. The  Senior HCC Coderr will work in collaboration with other business leaders, and clinical leadership, within and outside of Elica, to develop and implement comprehensive strategies to manage and drive improvement in end-to-end clinical documentation process, from on-boarding to claims submission and reporting.

Compensation Dependant Upon Experience -

$36.98 - 48.08 per hr.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The successful candidate will be willing and able to:

  • Manage all risk adjustment activities, including developing process flows, establishing, tracking, and meeting deadlines, managing vendor execution within contract requirements, coordinating all submission and reconciliation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create work plans and timelines for projects, providing relevant training and delegation of new projects as needed to achieve team goals.
  • Manage Medicare and Dual-Eligible member rosters to ensure accurate PCP assignment and identify AWV and gaps in care needs.
  • Model and trend RAF and risk adjusted revenue and utilization costs by PMPM by plan and line of business to determine and make recommendations on overall revenue cycle impacts on an at least quarterly basis.
  • Is accountable for work performed by self and work assigned to other departmental staff, works to develop and maintain trusting working relationships with others, and seeks to continuously learn from errors and experiences, as well as new developments in job specific administration and operational areas as assigned.

The successful candidate has:

  • Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience. Master's Degree highly preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a community health center or primary care setting
  • Demonstrated success in independently planning and managing multiple projects and reevaluating priorities in a self-directed manner and meeting challenging deadlines, and being willing to work long and flexible hours during peak project times to get the job done. Ability to be highly organized and accountable.
  • Knowledge of healthcare system
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Understanding of Quality Improvement (HEDIS, NCQA Accreditation, Star Ratings)
  • Prior experience or working knowledge of electronic health records preferred. Epic Practice Management/Electronic Medical Records experience a plus. Windows, Microsoft Office, and proficiency in navigating through various cloud based/web-based portals and applications
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups, including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization and gain their cooperation
  • Ability to work flexible hours and must be able to independently travel to assigned locations

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The work environment is characteristic of normal office conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or lift. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Additional Requirements

  • Must have a current and valid California driver's license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.
