Share Food Program (Share) is the largest-serving hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation. Before the Covid-19 crisis began, Share distributed food to 700,000 neighbors in need each month. The need has risen sharply since early 2020Share now serves more than 1 million each month.
Position Summary:
The Senior Food Box Program (SFBP) Volunteer and Inventory Coordinator manages the daily inventory and volunteer operations of the SFBP. This position ensures that inventory counts, packed boxes, and reports are completed every month. The SFBP Volunteer and Inventory Coordinator will support volunteer packing shifts, manage caller shifts and SFBP data entry projects. They will guide the team on best inventory practices while sustaining the established warehouse procedures and policies.

- Support volunteer-led packing shifts, facilitate caller shifts and data entry projects in collaboration with Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, ensuring volunteers have clear instruction to complete their tasks.
- Coordinate with Operations staff to ensure product is stored and placed correctly.
- Complete the monthly inventory reconciliation report " Food and Nutrition Service Report 153"
- Track and monitor SFBP damaged commodities alongside completing monthly review with Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Field Representative.
- Send inbound SFBP shipment receiving paperwork to Hunger-Free Assistant Director within 48 hours of intake.
- Collaborate with internal and external programs to gather and stage additional food for SFBP distribution.
- Create Senior Food Box Allocation Chart for each monthly pack
- Collaborate with Volunteer Program to create how-to's and procedures for volunteers and interns to follow when needed
- Create monthly Master Call List for SFBP Home Delivery Program
- Use EveryAction to update and close out volunteer events for callers daily
- Perform task management through Asana
- Assist with SFBP volunteer packing and home deliveries when necessary
- Some weekend work is required
- Additional duties as required
Preferred Experience:
- Proficient in data entry with a focus on Excel
- Customer service background
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge in innovation
- Inventory management or warehouse operations experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires standing up to 75% of the time
- Position requires keyboard use or repetitive hand motion
- Position requires lifting up to 35 pounds at times
Environmental Risks:
- Position includes potential exposure to chemicals and fumes, loud noises, vibration, extreme temperature, allergens, and confined spaces up to 100% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000 - $46,000 per year
