Senior Finance Manager

Summary

As Dynapower's Senior Finance Manager, you support the company's financial goals through analyzing trends and metrics and designing and executing project plans that convert that analysis to action plans and solutions. We're looking for someone who can manage the complexities of a business that uses both the sales-basis and percentage of completion (POC) revenue recognition methods, and has the ability to effectively communicate financial performance to leadership. What You'll Be Doing

On an average day, you'll

• Manage cost and financial planning and analysis activities to identify risks and opportunities and contribute to the achievement of the organization's short and long-term financial goals
• Manage complex, large, or difficult analysis projects; evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations to senior management about the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions
• Collaborate with business leaders and departmental teams to analyze and understand business drivers, trends and operating results
• Perform variance analysis between actual, prior and standard costs
• Analyze financial data and create cost and financial models for decision support
• Develop cost and financial strategies that align with the organization's overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives
• Suggest and develop action plans to improve performance measures.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of financial professionals to ensure financial planning and analysis projects are conducted credibly and that recommendations and reports are accurate and timely. 

 

What You Need To Apply

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis for a manufacturing business
• Proficiency in PowerBI

This is a full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday. Is is based out of our headquarters in South Burlington, VT, and can be either fully onsite or hybrid remote/onsite. The position operates in a professional office environment.
