Senior Devops Engineer

As an IDEXX DevOps Engineer you will be hands-on and building with cutting edge, new cloud technologies. You will create and maintain systems in a hybrid-cloud environment and use modern technologies to solve business problems. Your natural curiosity will lead to innovation, finding secure and efficient ways to build and improve systems. Being an original, independent thinker with the ability to share and execute your ideas will put you right at home as a part of a highly collaborative team delivering for IDEXX.
In this role...
You will use Terraform, GitHub, and GitHub actions to build and deploy cloud resources for development teams in Google Cloud or AWS.
You will respond to alerts on system health and availability, resolve technical problems, recommend enhancements and improvements.
You will create and maintain system documentation , ensuring that information is current.
You will uses work tracking systems and delivering change through change management processes.
You will patch security vulnerabilities as part of standard operating procedures.
You will be part of a team to diagnose and solve system problems.
You will deliver innovation by sharing your ideas and incorporating feedback from others.
You will engage in continuous learning to build skills and stay current with best practices.
What you’ll need to succeed
You have 5+ years of DevOps experience
You have familiarity with software development processes to build infrastructure as code and automating system administration tasks in a hybrid-cloud environment.
You have familiarity with Linux platforms and basic system administration tasks.
You have familiarity with application server configuration and how to deploy and manage applications (Oracle Weblogic, Tomcat, SSL certificates, containers, etc.)
You have Cloud experience in at least one of the three major providers (AWS, Google, or Azure).
You have the ability to work with source control management tools (Git).
You have familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
You have the ability to thrive in a collaborative , matrix organization.
You have the ability to share your ideas with others through effective written and verbal communication skills.
You have willingness to learn new skills and grow your knowledge to meet new challenges.
Nice to have:
Cloud Certification (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Ability to work with 3rd party support providers (AWS, Google, Oracle, etc.).
Configuration Management experience (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins)

What you can expect from us:
Base annual salary target: $100,000 - $115,000 (yes, we do have flexibility if needed)
