Research projects directly tie to Data Venture's company-wide goals, so increasing customer understanding and identify key opportunities is important to the growth of our organization. We balance discovery with delivery to establish north stars while delivering incremental value to our customers. There is a lot of demand for our work - we need to continually make choices about how to spend our time to have the greatest impact. We are growing - we need to consider how to grow and evolve the team as our organizational needs evolve.

Our team conducts both qualitative and quantitative research to inform product decisions, business strategy and identify new opportunities for the business. Researchers partner with product, design, engineering, and account management to help them make better evidence-based decisions, solve complex challenge, and understand our multi-faceted customer base.

About you:

We are searching for a Senior UX Researcher to lead research for a portfolio of experiences designed for the collection, exploration, and storytelling of data. Using an evidence-based process, you have experience with leading the creation and communication of research artifacts, findings, reports and recommendations to stakeholders to influence product and business decisions. You're able to frame, scope and execute research studies from beginning to end identifying the right research questions, defining sample size, designing the study and executing with attention to detail and quality.

You'll make an impact:

Within 1 month by:
  • Go on a listening tour across our organization to understand the organization better, start to form strong collaborative relationships and understand how you can help.
  • Build a solid understanding of our customer base, and our product ecosystem.

Within 3 months by:
  • Work with another researcher to draft scripts, and discussion guides to start on your first research initiative.
  • Develop a plan in partnership with the Research Lead to evolve our UX research processes and develop plans to conduct generative and evaluative studies.
  • Work with your cross-functional team to help them prioritize initiatives.

Within 6 months by:
  • Actively contribute to infusing an evidence-based approach and, a research mindset into our team culture.
  • Research the needs of our merchants and suppliers to inform future strategy and offerings.
  • Apply your learnings to carry through the voice of the customer to develop and launch a new research offering to our organization.
  • You've presented a couple of strategic presentations to key stakeholders and influenced product decisions.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$168,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

  • Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
Option 2: 5 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
