Senior Data Engineer To Cyber Defense Operations Center

Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Senior Data Engineer to support the ARCYBER G36 Cyber Defense Operations Center (CDOC). Location: Fort Gordon, GA. The ARCYBER CDOC conducts cyberspace operations to protect Army cyberspace capabilities.  In this SME role, you will be responsible for the collection, management, and conversion of raw data into information that can be interpreted by data scientists and data analysts. Data accessibility is the ultimate goal, which is to enable Army organization to utilize data for performance evaluation and optimization.Tasks include:  

Assist in the development and implementation of a database and its architecture. Assess requirements and apply relevant database techniques to create a robust architecture. Conduct periodic testing to identify any bugs or performance issues. Report and facilitate the correction of issues with the correlation tools and data feeds Assist in the maintenance of the data platform and ensure it works smoothly without causing any disruption. Manage large-scale processing systems where performance and scalability issues need continuous maintenance. Support client by constructing dataset procedures that can help with data mining, modeling, and production.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Edu/Exp: BA/BS 10+ Years, or MA/MS 8+ Years. Will consider HS 16+ Years
• Experienced with model development and testing as well as gathering, relating, and identifying data with variables in models.
• Has developed reports noting various alternatives and success probability when there is no single solution.
• Possesses an in-depth understanding of cyberspace doctrine, policies, operations, and organizations.
• Background includes quantitative experience and/or education (e.g., mathematics, statistics, etc.).
• Able to support an 8x5 capability with the ability to surge for on-demand hours as necessary 
• Active TS/SCI clearance withe ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph and MEAD clearance

Salary RangeSalary Minimum: $72,500 Salary Mid: $145,000 Salary Maximum: $181,300 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
