Federal Data Systems is looking for a Cyber Fraud Analyst to analyze, prevent and investigate cases of fraud associated with social media accounts.
- Investigate fraudulent activities associated with social media accounts, such as unauthorized access or transactions, account take over or theft.
- Using reverse engineering techniques, perform information extraction, modeling, and review of reported fraudulent information.
- Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
- BA or BS in Computer Science or Minor in CS with BA/BS in Finance, or another complimentary field.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Must have 5 - 7 years of experience in Cyber Security Fraud Analysis.
- Must possess and/or obtain any of the following certifications: CISSP, C|EH, GCIA, CCNA.
- Experience with the following Big Data and Digital Application Monitoring tools: ArcSight, Splunk, SAS, Teradata, ETL.
- Familiarity with the following Scripting languages: Python, Perl, VBScript.
- Experience with Application Layer Protocols (HTTP).
- Experience using Windows/UNIX. Experience.
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) Database Queries.
- Experience using JAVA.
- Familiarity with Intrusion Detection analysis ((Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), packet level analysis).
Desired/Preferred Skills:
- Familiar with online banking/ Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
- Experience with reviewing Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) account information.
- Familiar with Global Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.
- Familiar with bank Security Association (SA) compliance and regulations.
- Familiar with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) investigations.
- Familiar with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance, regulations.
- Familiar with reporting to the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) networks.
- Able to analyze, isolate and quarantine Internet Protocol (IP) addresses from foreign states.
Working Conditions:
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
