We are actively looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Seattle office. The Senior Civil Engineer will manage the conception, design, operation, construction and maintenance in wide variety of infrastructure projects, for both the public and private sector, including port terminals, waterfront infrastructure, ecosystem restoration, roads, bridges, renewable energy developments, etc.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and mentoring for civil discipline and CAD staff
- Manage projects by guiding staff during preparation of engineering design documents and specifications
- Design projects for construction by studying project concepts, architectural drawings, and models
- Prepare engineering designs by collecting and studying reports, environmental studies, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical data
- Determine project costs by calculating labor, material, and related expenses
- Develop feasibility studies by analyzing engineering design constraints, environmental impact studies, and assembling data available from clients and public sources of information
- Oversee professional staff and project personnel
- Work with team to produce engineering documents by developing construction plans, specifications, construction costs and schedules
- Fulfill project requirements by training and guiding project personnel
- Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Maintain project data by following company procedures and standards, consistent with ISO certification
- Attend client meetings or visits project sites when necessary
- Perform business development activities. Look for business opportunities and new clients.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; required
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering; preferred
- Washington Professional Engineer license; required
- 15+ years of civil engineering experience; required
- Competence in site / civil engineering design: including grading, drainage, hydraulics, hydrology, water, paving and/or roadway; required
- Project management experience; required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation InRoads, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to plan, schedule and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelines
- Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port & Navigation Engineers (ACOPNE) certification in the Port Engineering category; preferred
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC); preferred
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
Base Salary Range:
- $112,761 to $148,844 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
- Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the Washington market.
Working conditions:
Generally, this is an office role; occasional extended hours or weekend work to meet client deliverables may be required. Some projects may require travel stateside and internationally.
Physical requirements:
Sit for long periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally. Ability to use standard office equipment.
