Summary:
As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), you will be responsible for building and maintaining data models, dashboards and metrics that support the GameStop Sales & Operations Planning team as we look to drive efficiencies and improvements. This position utilizes extensive knowledge of SQL and data structures to find new opportunities, measure business effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and provide results and recommendations to management in clear non-technical language.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
BIEs should be comfortable making decisions that require moderate direction and guidance while following established guidelines and procedures.
Design and develop scalable reporting, dashboards, and data solutions utilizing SQL , Power BI, Alteryx, and other tools.
Develop analytical data models that support standardized metrics and identify levers to move those metrics.
Support Merchandise Planning tools and provide user support.
Create robust and easy-to-understand data visualizations to quickly show Senior Business leaders key problem areas, new opportunities, and emerging trends.
Minimum Qualifications, Job Skills, and Abilities:
Accredited bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business Administration required; equivalent work experience may be considered as a substitution.
5 + years of experience in areas such as data analytics, data engineering, Business Intelligence, or similar technical area.
2 + years supply chain operations experience, preferably in retail.
Experience with analyzing complex data to obtain insights.
Capable of prioritizing multiple projects while still achieving deadlines.
Proficient database and querying abilities including SQL.
Proficient ability in creating data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) that convey key metrics in an easy-to-understand format for non-technical business decision makers.
Well-versed in Microsoft’s Office Suite.
Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
