What you do:

The Benefits team is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the company's benefit programs. This position will provide subject matter expertise, maintain plan regulatory compliance and ensure administrative best practices for the Allianz qualified and nonqualified defined contribution and employee share purchase plans.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Support general plan administration of the Allianz Defined Contribution Plan including coordination of administration efforts among participating Allianz entities, performing payroll/recordkeeper data reconciliations, participant issue resolution, validating match true-up, and student loan retirement program contributions and performing corrections as needed
  • Support general plan administration of the Employee Share Purchase Plan including coordination of administration efforts among participating Allianz entities in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda, loading data files to the vendor system, planning employee communications, supporting the annual election process and the annual share purchase
  • Establish, maintain, and foster relationships with third-party record keepers, trustees, consultants, and internal businesses partners including payroll, legal, finance and corporate communications
  • Partner with plan administrator/vendors and legal counsel to resolve benefit claims and plan operation issues
  • Maintain plan regulatory compliance including overseeing the preparation, review and submission of regulatory filings and distribution of required plan disclosures/notices, tracking IRS and plan contribution limits, validating invoices, annually reviewing payroll earnings code setup, and monitoring contribution funding.
  • Support the defined contribution annual plan audit; attend regular audit meetings, obtain required information for the auditors and work with the Finance team to create the financial statement
  • Oversee defined contribution plan non-discrimination/QSLOB testing activities including requesting, reviewing, and reconciling census data to master control totals used for testing and managing correction process for failures
  • Oversee development of communication plans for participant communications and review communications for accuracy, detail, and completeness
  • Partner with legal counsel to review, interpret and maintain the legal plan documents to ensure plan compliance with current IRS/DOL regulations
  • Support financial literacy efforts including strategy development, scheduling virtual and onsite education sessions, reviewing session content developed by vendors, and developing employee communications to promote sessions
  • Assisting with RFI/RFP project management and new vendor implementation
  • Manage and participate in special projects and initiatives, as assigned


What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Completion of or significant work toward Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or CEBS Designation
  • 4+ years' of retirement benefit plan experience including qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plans
  • Experience/working knowledge of retirement benefit compliance, regulatory & legislative matters
  • Experience managing outsourced benefit service providers
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage time well, prioritize effective and handle multiple deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management and Microsoft Office skills
