Job description

Job Description

In other words, every check that goes out is both timely and accurate. You appreciate a challenge, and are eager to learn new things. You are undaunted by the complexities of airport math, and have a deep desire to make a substantial contribution to your workplace. How To Apply:

A fully completed official online RTAA Employment Application must be received by 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Applications for RTAA jobs are only accepted through an online process. For more information about this opportunity and to apply, visit: www.renoairport.com/careers.

Please read the following carefully! We want you to be successful, and there are certain things that you need to know. We use your application (not your resume!) to determine whether or not you meet the minimum qualifications.

Tips For Success

For each job, use the Experience: Work History section to carefully describe your work experience, education, training, and any other information you'd like us to know.

  • Make sure you clearly state how you meet the minimum qualifications listed on the job announcement. You may submit a resume and cover letter if you'd like, but it is not considered a substitute for a well-done application.
  • Please provide at least five years of employment history. If you had more than one position with the same employer, list each position separately along with the time or dates you were in each position.
  • Explain any gaps of employment of six months or more in the work history section. To do this, just add a New Position' and write Unemployed' for the Company and what was occurring under the "Title" (e.g., unemployed, student, etc.), and list dates. Please note, a statement in the "Summary" section is not sufficient to address gaps in employment.

Questions about the application, recruitment, and/or selection process, the physical demands of the position, or requests for a reasonable accommodation, should be addressed to the RTAA People Operations Office at (775) 328-6450.

Selection Procedure:

Review of Application: After submission, the application will be reviewed to determine if it is complete and if minimum qualifications are met. For those applicants found to meet minimum qualifications, the next step of the process will be an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information regarding education and experience to enable evaluation of the application.

Interview Process: Only the most qualified applicants will be considered for an interview. The interview process may include an initial panel interview, followed by subsequent assessment exercises to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks and/or employment interviews with other RTAA personnel.

Pre-Employment Requirements: The RTAA requires each candidate to successfully complete employment history verification prior to being considered for employment. All employment offers are subject to successful completion/passing of a drug-screening test, a fingerprint criminal history records check, and an Airport Security Badging test.

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority welcomes, values and respects diversity and inclusiveness practices that honor the fundamental value
and dignity of all individuals. We are an equal opportunity employer and maintain a drug-free workplace.
