Trofholz Technologies, Inc. is searching for a Security Systems Technician who is a positive and team-oriented professional with a desire to develop and increase their capabilities within the security industry. The identified professional will be responsible for working with a team installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting & repairing electronic security systems and data communication networks. This position will be responsible for reporting to project sites located in Palo Alto, San Jose, Menlo Park, and Monterey, California.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of build sites, including leading and managing crew on specific construction tasks
- Coordinate with Project Manager on all scheduling and material ordering. Ensure site has tools and materials needed for the work scheduled
- Responsible for taking deliveries of materials and supplies; ensures all tools and materials are maintained and safeguarded
- Properly Document RFI's, Safety Mtgs, Install Details, & As-Builds
- Installation of:
- Low voltage cabling required for access control, intrusion detection, intercom and CCTV systems
- Electronic access control & intrusion detection boards and equipment within equipment enclosures
- Installation and termination of:
- Copper and fiber data communications cable and connectivity
- Head-end equipment, such as servers, DVR's NVR's, matrix switchers, Ethernet switches, etc. within equipment enclosures and racks
- Properly mount (secure, level, centered) various equipment including displays, equipment enclosures, power supplies, switches, security cameras and equipment according to manufacturer's specifications
- Set-up & program security, access control, intrusion, audio visual and CCTV system communications network
- Perform system troubleshooting
Requirements:
- 2 years related experience with focus in the electronic security system industry
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understand standard concepts, practices and procedures within industry
- Experience in the construction industry coordinating with trades
- Capacity to interpret construction plans, specifications and system schematics
- Solid understanding of Communications Networks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance are necessary
- Capability to travel to various installation project sites and have own tools
- Ability to successfully complete drug and background verification's
- Active Secret government clearance or the ability to obtain
- Annual influenza shotis a job requirement per the VHA Directive 1192.0, Trofholz will comply with ADA and Title VII requirements

- Sielox Certification (Current)
- Sielox Prism training or experience
- LENEL training or experience
- AMAG training or experience
- Pelco or other VMS experience / certs
- Software House training or experience
- Basic Networking Principles
- System integration experience
- Previous experience working with federal government agencies
Budget: $38.46 - $40.87
