Job breakdown
Do you love staying serious and alert while others are having fun? Probably not. However, if you are good at this and have an active security guard card, we may have your next job opportunity. Our client is looking for two Events Lead Officers to assist the Events Supervisor. Please note, this opportunity requires 80% - 90% of this role, which entails travel time in company-provided transportation. If your own transportation is used, you will be reimbursed for mileage in accordance with California mileage reimbursement laws.
What you will own
- Supervising assigned posts which may require using a company-provided vehicle
- Assisting Events Supervisor in conducting compliance checks by touring assigned sites and observing guard performance
- Filling in for Events Supervisor, as needed
- Responding to emergencies and preparing incident reports
- Supporting, developing, and supervising team members including:
- Training new employees, as needed
- Scheduling, as needed
- Helping Event Supervisor and management team monitor poor performance, as required
- Managing shifts ensuring events are always properly staffed, as needed
- Ensuring backup staff is scheduled for assigned events, as needed
- Driving guards to and from events
- Conducting checks on company vehicles and coordinating maintenance, if necessary
- Communicating any personnel issues to the Events Supervisor
- Helping plan and implement solutions to personnel issues
Skills to bring to the table
- Alert and proactive
- Culturally sensitive and able to work with a diverse range of backgrounds
- Tech savy
- Adept in Google Suite (GDrive, Sheets, Docs)
- Multitasking and project management
Negotiables
- Valid CPR/AED/First Aid certification, preferred
- Prior military or law enforcement experience
- Bilingual in Spanish, MAJOR PLUS
Non-negotiables
- High School diploma or GED
- Active CA State security guard card
- 1-3+ years of security guard experience
- Must be able to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Must be able to use both hands to grip & hold at least 15 lbs
- Must have 20/40 vision (or better), with or without contacts/glasses
- Must be able to pass:
