Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, determine eligibility of interested older workers; complete accurate enrollments within timely manner; review all paperwork and copy necessary documents for inclusion in transmittal prior to submitting toCoordinator.
  • Place participants in worthy Community Service Assignments; monitor participants' community service performance.
  • Provide Needs Assessment and prepare IEPs for each (new)participant andupdate required every 6 months or asnecessary.
  • Schedule participants for recertification process prior to annual date; gather and complete all necessary documents; review paperwork and copy necessary documents for inclusion in transmittal prior to submitting toCoordinator.
  • To determine and arrange "best cost" for computer skills, occupational skills, soft skills and job readiness training and/or supportiveservices.
  • To provide all participants job searchassistance.
  • To provide individualized casemanagement.
  • To identify and develop eligible Host Agencies.
  • To maintain safe and healthy HA sites via site visits ensuring conformity with HA Agreements, regular monitoring and meetings with HA supervisors as required or as necessary.
  • To discuss potential hiring opportunities with HA's and private employers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Should be detailed oriented and proficient with 10-key calculators, personal computer.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel.
  • 6-12 months related job experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents relating to the federal regulations under SCSEP guidelines along with GII and GIV policies and procedures.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with wide variety of abstract or concrete variables.
  • Valid State of Virginia driver's license and proof of insurance to drive personal car on company business; 3+ point DMV record.
