Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Lititz, PA is currently looking for a Chemist to join their expanding team.
Job Title: Chemist / Pharma Industry
Duration: 9 months contract, extendable up to 24 months
Location: Lititz, PA

Job Description:
Under routine supervision, performs physical and chemical testing of raw materials, materials in process and finished product to assess conformance to applicable standards. Adheres to Company policies, governmental and regulatory requirements and maintains adequate lab supplies.
Perform HPLC, UPLC, and other routine instrumental analysis with minimal direction.
Review documentation and report results of analysis according to Good Laboratory Practices.
Carry out timely LIR, OOS Investigations and Reporting.
Facilitate routine maintenance and calibration of instruments and laboratory equipment.
Perform raw materials testing as needed.
Prepare, review and update documents for raw materials and bulk products.
Analyze the physical appearance of materials and report anomalies to the laboratory supervisor or manager.
Provide guidance to lower-level scientist and technicians as needed.
Communicate with personnel in other departments as necessary.
Orders laboratory supplies as needed.
Education:
BA/BS in Chemistry, related science or the equivalent.
Experience:
3 years related experience preferably within the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and/or experience with lab instrumentation/equipment such as pH meter, viscometer, FTIR, HPLC and GC
Knowledge of Compendia such as USP, NF, EP and FCC
Computer skills with utilization of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Ability to work individually as well as in a team
Self-motivated
