Scale Inspector

We are seeking a dedicated Scale Inspector to join our dynamic team and deliver exceptional service to our valued guests. As a Scale Inspector, your primary responsibility will involve providing assistance to customers, addressing inquiries, and efficiently completing daily tasks. Your collaboration with fellow team members and managers will be essential in achieving project deadlines and organizational objectives. Position Overview:

• Calling in loads to the scale house
• Keep the area clean and free from debris.
• Checking material and giving direction where the material is supposed to go throughout the yard
• Visually identify different types of metal and non-metal contaminates.
• Assist in general maintenance and cleanup of the entire facility.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Safety/OSHA guidelines and adherence for your safety and others.
• Must have the willingness to go the extra mile learning the scrap metal recycling industry.
• Metals knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions, work independently and multitask.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Flexible to work off hours, overtime, and weekends, in an industrial environment which may include being outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to walk on uneven work surfaces.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.
• Must be willing to cross-train in various positions, be self-motivated, possess good work ethics and have the ability to work with a team.
• Must have reliable transportation to work.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen test, background check and fit-for-duty test if needed.

Safety:

This position requires the following personal protective equipment be worn at all times:

• Safety glasses.
• Head protection.
• Hard-toed work boots.
• High visibility safety vest.
• Other protective equipment as required.

Work Environment:

The work environment is:

• Primarily outdoors
• Occasionally loud (in excess of 90dB)

Pay: $17.00
