Mission of the Position:

As a Sales Representative, you will have the responsibility of working with division leaders to develop pricing strategies to support the current market to drive profitability, growth, and achievement of organization goals and will also play a critical role in assessing and providing market data to report on current market pulse. This individual will grow and maintain client relationships, negotiate freight rates with clients, and provide excellent customer service with a focus on long-term Intermodal Drayage / Ocean Container freight business.

The Position:

Build, manage and maintain customer relationships with assigned clients, brokers, and freight forwarders.
Communicate the Company's goals and initiatives with client base to ensure alignment of service and communication requirement.
Collaborate internally with the team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans.
Provide and negotiate freight rates to clients.
Communicate effectively both internally and externally.
Procure new clients based on volume and lane density.
Develop an overall business strategy to build new business leads.
Conduct research in available databases for potential leads.
Maintain a strong grasp and market knowledge of shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality.
Initiate and manage volume action plans to address inconsistent seasonal shortfalls.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.
3+ years of sales experience in the Intermodal / Drayage / Warehousing Industry required
Proficient with MS Office Suite and TMS Systems experience

Ability to work with other internal and external groups to achieve personal and company goals.
Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
