Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
- Collaborate with management to develop and update safety policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to employees on occupational health and safety matters
- Fabricate safety signs and labels as needed
- Assist with workers' compensation claims management
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance and trends
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis for accidents and incidents
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and processes
- Proficient in report writing and record keeping
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Experience in training development is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) practices
- Proficient in using computer software for record keeping and data analysis
