Form of workThe Registered Nurse (RN), Correctional Facility, under the supervision of the Supervising RegisteredNurse II, Correctional Facility, is responsible for providing basic nursing care to inmates incarcerated inthe California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. This includes assessments, triage,scheduling, patient education, and emergency response coverage. Performs Health Care relatedduties consistent with the RN Scope of Practice.

Ifnot, you must complete the Online Self-Assessment for this classification.Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse in California. (Applicants who do not meet thisrequirement will be admitted to the examination, but they must secure the required license before theywill be considered eligible for appointment).
The position(s) require(s) a Valid CA RN License License. You will be required to provide a copyof your license prior to being hired.Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing LiveScan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department testing on anannual basis thereafter.Application Instruct
